Dismantling the old door unit
After all the tools and consumables are collected, you can begin to remove the old door unit and prepare the opening. Carefully remove the door leaf from the hinges. Use a nail gun to remove trim (as carefully and gently as possible to avoid damaging wallpaper or tiles). Next, the specialist notches the mullions of the boxes — approximately in the middle. Inserts a nailer under the box in the area of the cut and removes the old box.
Floor level is important!
The construction level is applied so that it is inside the opening, parallel to the walls. The level must be placed exactly horizontally. According to the level, mark two points on each side of the opening, necessary for the installation (mounting) of the interior door. Measure the distance from the floor to the points marked on each side of the door opening. Thus, it is found out how much the frames for the door should differ in height from each other. They are then trimmed in height, according to the data obtained. According to the standards, the permissible value of excess floor level should not be more than 3 millimeters.
Installing the new door frame
After that comes the assembly of the door frame, docking it "n"-shaped, and then installing this very box in the doorway. And such things are done as for the entrance door, as well as for interior doors.
After your master has mounted the door frame with the leaf in the right position, if possible, you need to seal the box with masking tape in order not to damage it with the installation foam. Before you foam, the opening for the door frame must be prepared. To do this, use a brush to sweep away the remains of dust and dirt from the opening and for better adhesion (bonding) by spraying the surface with water. Foam all professional assembly foam around the perimeter of the door unit. Approximate consumption of the material: 0.5-1 bottle on the door unit. Foam drying time - at least 3 hours, full drying — 12 hours.
